Headache means the pain in the head. The other name of headache is cephalalgia. The pain in the head is the result of the disorder of migraine, cluster headache, headache due to the tension and stress. There are various types of headache, such as cold-stimulus headache, sinus headache, tension headache, cluster headache, hangover headache and migraine headache. The symptoms of headache are pain in the head, neck pain, dizziness, high blood pressure, sensitivity to light, loss of consciousness etc. You must visit the neurologist if you are having a headache. Headache can also lead to depression. You must consult the doctor immediately if you're having a severe headache, headache after any type of injury, headache occurring with the shortness of breath along with the fever etc. Some common medicines that help in curing the headache are acetaminophen and ibuprofen.

Causes of the headache:-

  • Recreational drugs
  • Rapid ingestion of a very cold food or beverage

The home remedies for curing the headache are as follows:

  • B vitamins:- B vitamins are the vitamins that help in curing the headache. These are the group of micronutrients that are soluble in water. These vitamins include all the eight types of B vitamins and are helpful in reducing the headache. B vitamins don't have any side effects as they can be easily soluble in water which means that any unnecessary vitamin will be taken out through the urine. So, if you're having the headache, you can take the supplements of B vitamins
  • By drinking tea or coffee:- Drinking tea or coffee also helps in reducing the headache. Tea or coffee are the beverages that contains caffeine in it. The beverages that contains caffeine are considered effective in curing the headache. Caffeine helps in constricting the blood vessels, increases alertness and also helps in improving the mood. So, you can drink tea or coffee if you're having the headache
  • Use Ginger:- The roots of ginger are also considered effective in curing the headache. Ginger has the property of anti inflammation and antioxidants. You can either make a paste of ginger and drink it or you can just make a tea from ginger and then drink it. The ginger is consumed mostly in a situation when the headache is caused due to the migraine. So, you can use ginger for curing the headache
  • Consumption of magnesium:- Magnesium is also considered effective in curing the headache. It is regarded as an essential ingredient for the proper functioning of the body. Sometimes deficiency of magnesium can also lead to a headache. So, intake of magnesium is considered effective and important for curing the headache 
  • Consume coenzyme Q10:- Coenzyme Q10 is produced by our body that helps in the production of the energy. Coenzyme Q10 has the properties of antioxidants. The supplements of Coenzyme Q10 are regarded as effective in curing the headache. Consumption of 100 mg of coenzyme Q10 also helps in curing the migraines. So, in order to cure the headache, you can consume coenzyme Q10
  • Intake of herbs:- Herbs are also considered an effective remedy for treating the headache. Herbs have the properties of anti - inflammation. The various herbs that help in curing the headache are chamomile, curcumin, butterbur. These herbs are considered safe to consume as they don't have any side effects. So, you can eat various herbs in order to cure the headache 
  • Sleep properly:- Lack of sleep can also be one of the reasons for the headache. Proper amount of sleep is necessary for maintaining proper health. Sleep for at least 6 hours in a day. If you don't sleep even for six hours, then you can suffer from the headache and also from various other health problems. So, in order to cure a headache, you should get a proper amount of sleep.
